SR Staffing seeks an experienced Construction Attorney (Transactional) for a Top 200 law firm in New York, NY. The role focuses on advising on construction law matters and drafting high-stakes agreements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of construction-law experience, NY admission, and a track record in risk allocation, contract drafting, and negotiating complex professional services and construction contracts. This is a senior, on-site opportunity.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in construction law.
Experience with AIA contracts.
Admission to practice in New York.
Ability to serve as outside general counsel to sophisticated design and construction clients
Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills
Litigation experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Advise architects, engineers, and other design professionals on legal and business matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate professional services agreements and construction-related contracts.
Counsel clients on risk management, project delivery, and contract administration.
Assist clients with dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
Provide practical day-to-day legal guidance throughout the lifecycle of construction and development projects.
Support litigation and dispute matters when necessary
