Job summary

Hixson Architecture, Engineering and Interiors is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to support the construction phase of complex commercial, industrial, food & beverage, and science/tech projects. You will coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to ensure quality and contract compliance.

This role blends field observation, problem-solving, client interaction, and cross-disciplinary coordination with architects, engineers, and project managers on renowned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial or industrial building construction.
• Experience conducting field observations and documenting construction activities.
• Strong understanding of building systems: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, owners and project teams.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30-40%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site construction observations and document findings accurately and professionally.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with project documents and contract requirements.
• Serve as a liaison among clients, owners, contractors, and Hixson project teams.
• Assist in resolving construction-related questions, field conditions, and project issues.
• Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers throughout the construction process.
• Review construction activities to verify alignment with design intent and owner expectations.
• Support project closeout and successful completion of construction-phase services.
• Represent client interests with professionalism, responsiveness, and integrity.
