Job summary

Ascendo Resources is assisting our client, a large commercial construction company, in recruiting an Accounting Manager for its Plantation, Florida location. The role requires 7+ years of accounting experience in construction, with experience in WIP, job costing, AIA billing and close processes.

CPA is preferred; strong Excel and internal controls are required. The role reports to executive management and offers a competitive salary in the $135K-$160K range plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years accounting experience
• Current Construction industry accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
• CPA preferred
• Good employment stability (no job hoppers)
• Advanced Excel proficiency

Responsibilities

• Monthly general ledger and close processes (month/quarter/year-end)
• Multiple entity journal entries and bank reconciliations
• WIP/job cost reporting and project profitability analysis
• AIA billing and treasury functions
• Ad-hoc reporting to executive management
