Job summary

Ascendo Resources is assisting our client, a large commercial construction company, in recruiting an Accounting Manager for its Plantation, Florida location. The role requires 7+ years of accounting experience in construction, with experience in WIP, job costing, AIA billing and close processes.

CPA is preferred; strong Excel and internal controls are required. The role reports to executive management and offers a competitive salary in the $135K-$160K range plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Position Title: Construction Accounting Manager

Location: Plantation, Florida (Broward County - Ft. Lauderdale)

Salary: $135K-$160K + annual bonus

Technical Skill Set Required:

• Large Construction company Accounting experience: $200m+
• Construction industry Accounting & Finance experience (current)
• Monthly General Ledger, Multiple Entity Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, AP/AR
• Month End Close, quarter end close, year-end close
• Analyze Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, job cost reporting, and project profitability analysis.
• AIA billing
• Experience with system migrations (preferred)

Job Requirements:
