Valley Precision Grading, a TenCate company, is seeking a Senior Accountant with hands-on construction project accounting and cost accounting experience to maintain accurate financial records and support a timely month-end close.

Working closely with the Controller and Project Accountants, this person will independently manage recurring journal entries, GL reconciliations and reporting schedules, focusing on WIP reports from job-cost data for Controller review.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger work and month-end close.
• Hands-on construction project accounting experience, including job cost accounting, cost allocation and WIP schedules.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals.
• Intermediate or better Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and PivotTables.
• Experience using accounting or ERP software, with the ability to learn multiple systems.

Responsabilidades

• Own and maintain recurring month-end journal entries, accruals and assigned close schedules; ensure transactions are recorded in the correct period.
• Prepare and reconcile assigned general ledger, bank, credit card and balance sheet accounts; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly financial reporting, management schedules, variance analysis and year-end close activities.
