Valley Precision Grading, a TenCate company, seeks a Senior Accountant with hands-on construction project accounting and cost reporting experience to maintain accurate financials and support a timely month-end close.

The role collaborates with the Controller and Project Accountants across locations, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, WIP reports and supporting schedules for audit readiness.

Competenze

• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience including journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger work and month-end close.
• Hands-on construction project accounting experience, including job cost accounting and WIP reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals.
• Intermediate or better Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and PivotTables.
• Experience using accounting or ERP software, with the ability to learn multiple systems.

Mansioni

• Own and maintain recurring month-end journal entries, accruals and close schedules; ensure transactions are recorded in the correct period.
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger, bank, credit card and balance sheet accounts; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly financial reporting, management schedules, variance analysis and year-end close activities.
• Prepare accurate WIP schedules from project data; analyze costs and variances; support Controller review.
• Coordinate with Project Accountants on project setup, job-cost coding and closeout activities.
