Job summary

Grassi is seeking an experienced construction accounting professional to manage project accounting for large commercial projects in Elmont, NY. The ideal candidate will oversee job costing, reconciliations, and owner requisitions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting and 5+ years in construction finance, with proficiency in CMiC, ProContractor, Procore, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of construction accounting, project accounting, or related construction financial management experience.
• Proven experience on large-scale commercial construction projects valued at $100 million or more.
• Strong knowledge of construction job cost accounting, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and change-order accounting.
• Proficiency with construction ERP systems; CMiC, ProContractor, Procore preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily project accounting operations including job cost coding, account reconciliations, and support for project-level close processes.
• Monitor project costs, billings, commitments, cost-to-complete forecasts, and project profitability; identify financial risks.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly owner requisitions and payment applications; ensure contract compliance.
• Review subcontractor AIA G702/G703 payment applications; track percent complete, retainage, and changes.
• Reconcile project financial information and maintain accurate cost reports and logs.
