Job summary

General Motors in Warren, Michigan, seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Connectivity Software Verification. You will own end-to-end verification for Bluetooth, Digital Key, telematics, and in-vehicle networking stacks, and mentor others.

You will design automated tests, build frameworks, analyze requirements, and work across systems to ensure reliability, security, and performance of connected-vehicle features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.
• 5+ years of software verification/test development.
• Experience testing embedded/real-time systems, automotive, telecom, or networking.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end verification strategy for key connectivity features (Bluetooth, Digital Key, telematics, WLAN/VLAN).
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for in-vehicle connectivity software and tools.
• Develop system-level and integration test cases, including edge cases and interoperability across ECUs and backend services.
• Analyze requirements, architecture and design docs to identify test gaps and influence design for testability.
• Build and extend test frameworks, harnesses, and utilities (Python-based automation, log parsing, simulators, mocks).
• Mentor junior engineers in test design, automation, and debugging techniques.
