Job summary
Simplesense seeks a Senior Platform Engineer, Connectivity to design and implement scalable automation and networking workflows for our cloud-hybrid platform. You will oversee automation of connectivity infrastructure, Linux-based systems, and secure workflows, collaborating with engineering to maintain resilience and rapid onboarding.
The role emphasizes strong Linux, networking, CI/CD practices, and collaboration with DoD-aligned teams; remote-ready with quarterly travel to support on-site
Qualifications
- 5+ years building infrastructure, automation, or platform engineering.
- Experience with Linux systems and networking.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, and code reviews.
- Travel ability for quarterly travel.
- DoD or Federal contractor experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of scalable connectivity infrastructure automation.
- Develop automation for Linux-based systems and network appliances.
- Translate onboarding needs into scalable workflows for customer environments.
- Build security-by-design patterns aligned with zero-trust and segmentation requirements.
- Produce clear design documentation and operational handoff materials; mentor engineers.
