Job summary

Tuvli, an Akima company, seeks a Congressional/Legislative Coordinator II to coordinate congressional and legislative affairs for DoS client in Washington, DC. The role focuses on foreign assistance to Europe, Eurasia, and Central Asia and interfaces with State’s legislative bureaus and senior advisors.

The incumbent tracks CNs, reports, and briefings, drafts talking points, supports budget processes, and prepares country-specific products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in related field) or higher with at least 3 years’ international politics/foreign policy experience.
  • Experience with Congress or Congressional staffers on U.S. foreign policy goals.
  • Experience coordinating, drafting, and tracking documents/papers.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, Power Automate, Power BI.
  • Strong written and spoken English communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across locations and work independently.
  • Excellent project and interpersonal skills with knowledge of related policy areas.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Track and coordinate Congressional reports, inquiries, and briefings.
  • Manage CN process including routing and tracking of CNs and related documents.
  • Draft talking points and official documents; liaise with interagency partners for clearances.
  • Coordinate with leadership on drafting, scheduling, and process management.
  • Advise on Foreign Affairs committee issues and congressional relations.
  • Serve as liaison with State’s Legislative Bureau and other offices.
  • Assist with budget/resource planning, reporting, and execution processes.
  • Maintain and organize files in SharePoint; prep orientation binders for staff.
  • Prepare briefing checklists, letters, agendas, minutes, and responses to inquiries.
