Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a Conflicts Attorney – Client Terms to advise on engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and other client terms, helping the firm balance legal considerations with business priorities. The role requires a U.S.

attorney license, 5+ years of practice, strong negotiation and risk-management skills, and the ability to work with attorneys and senior stakeholders across a global organization.

Qualifications

• J.D. with an active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal practice experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating client-drafted contracts or engagement terms.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze client engagement terms and related agreements.
• Advise on legal, commercial, operational, and risk implications of proposed terms.
• Lead or support negotiations with clients and firm attorneys.
• Identify and remediate material legal and business risks with subject matter experts.
• Develop negotiation strategies and ensure documentation is auditable.
