Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP seeks a Conflicts Attorney – Client Terms to advise on engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and other client terms, protecting the firm’s legal, ethical, and business interests.

The ideal candidate will have strong contract negotiation, risk management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills to balance client requirements with practical firm needs, while navigating complex engagements across a global organization.

Qualifications

• J.D. with an active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal practice in a law firm or professional services environment.
• 2+ years in compliance, risk management, in-house, or contract-focused work.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating client engagement terms.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze client engagement terms, including engagement letters and guidelines.
• Advise on legal, commercial, operational, and risk implications of terms.
• Lead or support negotiations with clients and attorneys.
• Identify risks and coordinate with subject matter experts and GC.
• Maintain auditable documentation of terms and changes.
