Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Configurator Systems Integration Engineer at its Decatur, IL facility. You will work on concepts, integrate new products, and manage top-level 3D models, ensuring manufacturability and product quality.

You will collaborate across engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing; apply GD&T, design for manufacturability, and use Siemens Teamcenter and CREO to deliver integrated designs. Travel is None; onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field is acceptable.
• GD&T applied to component design.
• Experience with Teamcenter and CREO.
• Design for manufacturability and complex machine design expertise.

Responsibilities

• Work on concepts and integrate new products, components, or technologies.
• Create, implement, and improve engineering designs, processes, and machinery.
• Analyze design parameters, performance characteristics, and specifications.
• Lead or support resolving complex mechanical system issues on product or assembly processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to meet customer requirements.
