Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead CM for complex enterprise engineering systems, software apps, and integrated environments. You will establish CMPs, baselines, change-control, traceability, and audit-ready documentation.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, architects, QA, cybersecurity, and operations to ensure changes are documented, reviewed, tested, released, and maintained. Hands-on coding or drafting not required; focus on robust CM processes across PLM, CAD data,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Eng, or related field; 5–15 years CM experience.
• CM certifications (CMPIC, ITIL, NDIA) are a strong plus.
• DOE/National Labs or DoD/Space/Federal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Configuration Management Plans (CMPs) for enterprise systems and software
• Lead Change Control Boards (CCBs) including tracking, approvals, and action items
• Maintain baselines for software, hardware, data, documentation, and releases
• Enforce traceability across lifecycles and ensure audit readiness for complex apps
• Coordinate CM activities across PLM, CAD, ALM, DevOps, QA, and operations
• Document, track, and maintain records for configuration items, versions, and changes
• Support software upgrades, system integrations, releases, deployments, and post-deployment validation
• Identify CM risks and improvement opportunities; propose corrective actions
• Align CM activities with project schedules and milestones
• Support governance, compliance, and knowledge-transfer in CM practices
