Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a seasoned Configuration Management Specialist IV to lead change control, baselines, and documentation across our engineering programs. You will drive CM discipline, mentor analysts, and support QA audits while liaising with program POCs.

Strong communication and DoD CM standards knowledge are essential. The role requires expertise with PLM/PDM/ERP systems, Windchill and SolidWorks, and a proactive, process-improvement mindset to enhance lifecycle traceability

Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive configuration management plans, procedures, and standards.
• Strong knowledge of CM best practices and industry standards; explain CM principles to others.
• Ability to lead other CM analysts on projects and daily activities.
• Advanced ability with CM tools and databases.
• Advanced BOM/ECO and drawing release management in regulated environments.
• Independent work with limited supervision; mentoring.
• US person required.
• Minimum 8 years in CM or related roles.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee change management, version control, and release management processes.
• Mentor cross-functional teams to ensure compliant CM practices.
• Conduct configuration audits and prepare stakeholder reports/dashboards.
• Develop and maintain CM plans and documentation.
• Manage CM database and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure DoD and CM policy compliance.
• Support quality assurance audits.
• Document interim baselines with program POCs.
• Facilitate weekly meetings and Change Control Board reviews.
• Provide CM training and support to engineers and technicians.
