Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies is seeking a Senior Configuration Management Specialist (Level III) to independently execute CM across programs from concept through sustainment. You will partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Software, and Program Management to maintain configuration integrity and align with enterprise governance.

This onsite role offers location flexibility with possible bases in Dallas-Fort Worth, Fort Walton Beach, or San Luis Obispo.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years in configuration management.
Hands-on CM including identification, change control, status accounting and audits.
Experience in aerospace/defense or highly regulated environments.
Knowledge of drawings, BOMs, revision control, serialization and lifecycle records.
Ability to assess change packages across functions and trace changes.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day configuration management execution for assigned programs, products, and projects while ensuring alignment with enterprise policies and plans.
Develop and maintain program configuration management plans, procedures, and lifecycle records.
Establish and maintain configuration identification and product structures for hardware, software, firmware, documentation, interfaces, and data.
Coordinate baseline activities across program lifecycle and contract.
Support and facilitate Change Boards and Software Configuration Controls, including meeting prep and decision records.
Review change requests and related documentation for completeness and traceability.
