Overview
The Sr. Configuration Analyst is responsible for recommending available configuration options for packaged software and implementing the appropriate solutions to meet business needs. Performs configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and analysis tasks, as well as supporting day-to-day business operations of packaged software applications.
Responsibilities
- Acts as an escalation point for complex packaged software application issues, including resolving escalated and business-impacting application problems. Responds to incident tickets from the service desk and processes change requests.
- Leads efforts to configure and maintain packaged software applications, understanding interdependencies across the system. Supports end users and manages system reconciliation, reporting, and processing activities.
- Conducts investigations, analyses, and evaluations to assess the feasibility of implementing new functionalities or resolving system issues.
- Gathers requirements for new or modified system functionalities by understanding end-user processes and business challenges, integrating them with existing technical and business processes. Facilitates or leads team contributions during system upgrades and initiatives.
- Maintains clear, concise, and accurate documentation for processes, reports, and configurations, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible.
- Develops accurate estimates for time and effort required to implement or modify configurations. Produces work and test plans, communicates effectively, and collaborates within and across teams. Recommends new features and functionalities aligned with business needs and assesses associated risks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Develops and executes complex reports using various tools to support the team and business. Promotes standards and best practices in configuration and setup within the application. Explores new technologies and methods for applicability.
- Mentors and coaches team members, ensuring adoption of new technologies and practices. Contributes to the Agile Chapter by continuously enhancing knowledge and skills in the domain.
- Facilitates team contributions in planning, design, and implementation, influencing peers and serving as an Agile role model.
- Broadens application and domain knowledge to serve effectively on various product teams in leadership roles.
