Job summary

Chenega MIOS in the DC Metro area seeks a Senior Conference Planner to lead end‑to‑end conference planning for high‑visibility DoW events and executive meetings. You will coordinate site selection, logistics, security, and protocol, ensuring seamless execution across phases from concept to post‑event reporting.

The role requires DoW experience, strong vendor management, and coordination with corporate security. On‑site work is expected with occasional travel within CONUS.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and executing complex conferences, executive meetings, or government events.
• Knowledge of DoW organizational structures, staff coordination, and protocol.
• Experience administering ORF‑supported events, approvals, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead conference planning from concept through post‑event closeout with schedules and risk mitigation.
• Evaluate viable locations, assess lodging, A/V, accessibility, security, and per diem rules.
• Prepare site comparison matrices and survey reports with findings and recommendations.
• Manage attendee registration, RSVPs, dietary restrictions, badges, help-desk operations, and accommodations.
• Coordinate Distinguished Visitor protocol, VIP escorts, and venue security.
