Job summary

Doggett Concrete Construction seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for multiple commercial concrete projects. The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and client coordination, with a focus on post-tension building practices and strong partner relationships.

Ideal candidates bring proven leadership, the ability to manage several projects concurrently, and a track record of delivering quality results on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction field management experience from a subcontractor's perspective.
• Proven experience managing commercial concrete construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, field operations, scheduling, and resource management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing project costs, schedules, safety, and quality.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience supervising construction field crews.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Spanish-speaking proficiency required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Microsoft Project.
• OSHA 10-hour training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for multiple commercial concrete construction projects from start to finish.
• Review project contracts, scopes of work, construction plans, and specifications to ensure successful execution.
• Manage field production activities, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor accurate project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate and schedule concrete deliveries to support efficient field operations and production.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and resource utilization to maintain efficiency.
• Manage project activities within the contracted scope of work while supporting financial targets and quality standards.
• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to Crew Chiefs and field personnel across projects.
• Coordinate daily work assignments, manpower needs, and equipment allocation to support schedules.
• Communicate project expectations, priorities, and performance standards to field teams.
• Foster a productive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor labor, material, equipment, and production costs to support budgets.
• Coordinate material purchasing, delivery, and quantity tracking for projects.
• Prepare and maintain accurate daily field reports, project schedules, and production documentation.
• Communicate progress, scheduling concerns, and challenges to project management.
• Ensure field operations comply with safety policies and quality standards.
• Conduct and document required jobsite safety audits weekly.
