Job summary

Fort Jackson Reception Complex in Columbia, SC seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on concrete construction projects. You will create schedules, sequence work, supervise crews and ensure compliance with contract documents.

Requirements include OSHA 10 certification and ability to read drawings, with a focus on quality workmanship per codes. You will manage the project schedule and coordinate foundations, formwork, and finishing, while benefiting from health/dental,

Qualifications

• Experience leading employees and crews.
• OSHA 10 hour certification within last five years.
• Ability to read and decipher construction drawings.
• Identify quality workmanship per codes and contract docs.
• Produce and manage the project schedule.
• Understand concrete principles and formwork systems.

Responsibilities

• Create schedules and determine sequencing of work.
• Create and manage concrete frame schedule, hold work crews accountable to their commitments
• Manage all aspects of concrete structures including foundations, elevated formwork cycles, cranes, layout and controls, placing, consolidating and finishing concrete best practices.
• Supervise and develop labor personnel
• Manage the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents
• Act as the quality control
