Job summary

Jennings Concrete Contractors is seeking a General Superintendent to lead on-site operations in Charleston, SC. You will oversee daily field activities for multiple commercial projects, coordinating crews, equipment, and materials to meet safety, schedule, and quality standards.

You will review plans and layouts, guide forepersons, and collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients. Documentation and reporting are essential, and you will train team members while pursuing workflow

Qualifications

• Experience supervising commercial concrete construction, including curb and gutter, sidewalks, and flatwork installations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and GPS-based layouts, with familiarity using Leica or similar equipment.
• Strong leadership, crew management, and team-building skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and forepersons.
• Proficiency in scheduling, resource allocation, and project coordination to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
• Solid understanding of construction safety standards, OSHA requirements, and risk management on active job sites.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills for working with internal teams, contractors, inspectors, and clients.
• Ability to maintain accurate field documentation, daily reports
