Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking an experienced field operations leader for concrete paving projects. You will oversee day-to-day field activities, ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and partner with the Project Manager on logistics.

This role requires 5+ years in heavy civil paving, proven crew leadership, and strong communication. Night shifts and extended hours may be required; travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil/construction paving experience.
• Proven leadership of paving crews and subcontractors.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for concrete paving.
• Enforce safety protocols and coordinate with inspectors.
• Plan site logistics with Project Manager, paving sequences and traffic control.
• Develop and manage daily and weekly paving schedules.
• Monitor concrete placement, finishing, curing, and jointing to meet specs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for timely delivery and execution.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve field issues and optimize methods.
• Track labor, equipment, and material costs; assist with schedule/budget adjustments.
• Oversee project closeout activities including punch lists and inspections.
