Job summary

Velocity Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead field crews on commercial projects in Florida. This hands-on role requires concrete and masonry expertise and the ability to move tasks forward safely and on schedule.

You will read plans, coordinate deliveries and crews, supervise forming and placement, and mentor teammates while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity on site.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on concrete experience required.
• Masonry/CMU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and work alongside field crews
• Plan and assign daily work to maintain productivity and project schedules
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, details, and layouts
• Perform and verify field measurements, layout, elevations, and grades
• Oversee concrete preparation, forming, reinforcement, placement, finishing, and related masonry work
• Coordinate concrete deliveries, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and manpower
• Monitor workmanship and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company quality standards
• Identify field issues early and communicate them promptly to project management
• Maintain a clean, organized, productive, and safe jobsite
• Communicate professionally with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, customers, subcontractors, and other trades
• Track daily progress, crew hours, materials, and jobsite conditions as required
• Train, direct, and hold crew members accountable for performance and quality
• Assist with hands‑on field work as needed to keep projects moving
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
