Job summary

Bison Recruiting LLC is seeking an Estimator for a full-time, on-site role with a well-established commercial concrete contractor. You will convert plans and specs into reliable cost numbers, coordinate with subs and suppliers to lock in pricing, and support the team that wins projects.

You will work with senior estimators, manage bid deadlines, and prepare bid packages, cost summaries, and proposals for clients while staying current on material pricing and market conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in construction estimation.
• Experience estimating concrete commercial/industrial projects.
• Ability to read structural/architectural drawings.
• Proficiency with takeoff tools and MS Office.
• Strong math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Study drawings and bid documents to define scope and price.
• Takeoffs for materials, labor, equipment, subs.
• Obtain and compare subcontractor quotes and price them.
• Identify risks and savings to protect margins.
• Assemble bid packages and cost summaries for clients.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks.
• Track pricing and update estimates with market conditions.
