Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation in New Rochelle, NY is seeking a Concrete Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete work on civil infrastructure projects. You will perform quantity takeoffs, analyze bids, and submit comprehensive proposals while coordinating with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to keep bids competitive and accurate.

Required to use ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff; a Bachelor's degree is preferred with 5+ years’ concrete estimating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction estimating experience with strong emphasis on concrete work.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete mix designs, reinforcement, formwork, placement methods and curing.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and performing accurate material quantity takeoffs.
• Experienced with estimating tools such as ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with vendors, PMs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Estimate concrete work for civil infrastructure projects including site prep, formwork, reinforcement and finishing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Analyze bids and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals based on project scope and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to refine budgets and scope.
• Use estimating software (ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff) to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
