• Minimum of 5 years construction estimating experience with emphasis on concrete work.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate material takeoffs.
• Experience evaluating bids and cost proposals with attention to labor, overhead and profit margins.

Responsabilidades

• Estimate concrete work for civil infrastructure projects, including site prep, formwork, reinforcement, and finishing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals based on project scope and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine budgets and scope.
• Use estimating software (Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid, PlanSwift, ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff) to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Monitor market trends, material pricing, and labor rates to maintain competitive estimates.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for all concrete-related work, including foundations, slabs, columns, walls, and structural elements. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate bid proposals.

• Estimate concrete work for civil infrastructure projects, including site prep, formwork, reinforcement, and finishing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals based on project scope and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine budgets and scope.
• Use estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid, PlanSwift, ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff) to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Monitor market trends, material pricing, and labor rates to maintain competitive estimates.
• Assist in contract negotiations and provide recommendations for project planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (High School Diploma required).
• Minimum of 5 years of construction estimating experience, with a strong emphasis on concrete work.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete mix designs, reinforcement, formwork systems, placement methods, and curing processes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and performing accurate material quantity takeoffs.
• Skilled in evaluating bids, cost proposals, and detailed estimates—including labor rates, fringe benefits, overhead, and profit margins.
• Experience with estimating tools such as ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Capable of handling multiple estimates and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven success in producing accurate estimates and supporting projects delivered on time and within budget.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
