Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation in New Rochelle, NY is seeking a Concrete Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for foundations, slabs, columns, walls and other concrete work. You will collaborate with project teams to develop accurate bid proposals based on drawings and specs.

Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, evaluating bids, and using estimating software (ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff). Strong communication and knowledge of concrete methods are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (High School Diploma required).
• Minimum of 5 years of construction estimating experience, with emphasis on concrete work.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing accurate material quantity takeoffs.
• Experience with estimating tools such as ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong communication and coordination with vendors, project managers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Estimate concrete work for civil infrastructure projects, including site prep, formwork, reinforcement, and finishing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals based on project scope and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine budgets and scope.
