Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico seeks an early-career Information Security Specialist to join the OPSEC team onsite. You will develop and maintain critical information lists, conduct OPSEC reviews, and present findings to stakeholders, strengthening Sandia's security posture.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and an active DOE Q clearance or equivalent. You will lead OPSEC measures, train staff, and collaborate with safeguards and mission programs to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Active DOE Q security clearance or equivalent required to start.
• Experience with OPSEC, physical and digital security, risk analysis.
• Experience developing training materials and leading assessments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain critical information lists and conduct OPSEC reviews.
• Present OPSEC briefings and assessment results to stakeholders across Sandia.
• Conduct OPSEC reviews of programs, information, and remote sites.
• Develop OPSEC measures to prevent release of critical information beyond security boundaries.
• Lead and advise workforce on OPSEC requirements, threats, and OPSEC measures.
• Develop, update and maintain program training and policy documents.
