NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) seeks a Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer to join the Navigation and Mapping group within the Guidance and Control Section. You will design and implement image-based mapping and navigation solutions for autonomous spacecraft, bridging research and flight software.

You will contribute to Moon, Mars and outer planet missions, collaborating with science teams and pursuing funding opportunities to advance the research agenda while delivering mature

Formación

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years of experience, or Master's with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years.
• Extensive understanding of machine learning and computer vision principles and applications.
• Proven ability to adapt ML models to CV problems and develop novel training architectures.
• Strong software skills in C++ and Python.
• Track record of working independently with significant technical latitude.

Responsabilidades

• Map-relative navigation and mapping for exploration missions.
• Collaborate with Artemis/HLS for vision-based lunar landing solutions.
• Apply ML expertise with scientists on ROSES opportunities.
