Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a software engineer to advance computer vision and AI initiatives, focusing on embedded systems. You will architect and optimize high-performance algorithms for intelligent features across heterogeneous hardware, with emphasis on real-time, power-efficient execution.

The role requires deep C++ expertise and hands-on CV/AI experience, including OpenCV, and experience delivering models for production on embedded platforms.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ and strong software development skills.
• Experience optimizing compute-heavy workloads on embedded heterogeneous hardware.

Responsibilities

• CV & AI Feature Development: design, develop and integrate advanced CV/AI features with robustness and scalability.
• Performance Optimization: optimize vision/AI pipelines for real-time performance on CPU, GPU, NPU, and other accelerators.
• Pipeline Architecture: architect efficient software stacks for CV/AI workflows with low latency and power efficiency.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: work with product, research and engineering to integrate AI models and vision solutions into products.
• Advanced Prototyping: rapidly prototype and iterate on new algorithms for perception and inference problems.
