LOCATION: 100% Remote
PAY RATE: $60-$70/Hour W2
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: W2 Only
Responsibilities:
- Lead installation and configuration of HPE Synergy and ProLiant hardware, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
- Plan and execute migration of ESXi from 7.x to 8.x, including cluster resizing and workload balancing.
- Manage VMware vSphere environments, ensuring high availability and performance best practices.
- Redesign VMware clusters for optimal sizing and performance.
- Integrate and optimize Pure Storage solutions for storage performance.
- Configure Cisco MDS storage networking, including zoning, security, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, design solutions, and implement upgrades.
- Develop automation scripts and workflows for deployment and management of virtualization infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices, security policies, and operational procedures.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
- At least 7 years in compute and virtualization engineering, with focus on HPE Synergy, ProLiant hardware, and VMware vSphere.
Certifications:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), HPE ASE - Synergy Solutions Integrator are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Strong knowledge of HPE Synergy and ProLiant hardware.
- Experience with Pure Storage solutions.
- Expertise in Cisco MDS storage networking, zoning, and security.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Leadership and mentoring skills for junior engineers.
- Detail-oriented with focus on quality and performance.
