Job summary

Huxley seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Compute Platform & Cloud Infrastructure in the Greater Boston Area. You will help design and build scalable, distributed infrastructure powering research, trading, and analytics.

You will lead architectural discussions, collaborate across teams, and implement cloud-native solutions with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and Terraform, while contributing to CI/CD and on-call support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with Python or another object-oriented language.
4+ years designing and architecting large-scale production systems.
3+ years building distributed, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable compute, workflow, messaging, AI, and observability platforms.
Collaborate with research and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Lead architecture discussions and drive technical decisions for large-scale distributed systems.
Build cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and related technologies.
Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment processes.
Perform code reviews and mentor team members on engineering best practices.
Participate in production support and on-call rotations for critical platform services.
