Job summary

SanMar Corp. is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to own the architecture and lifecycle of the Compute platform across Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and Azure. You will codify infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible, and lead modernization efforts in a hybrid on-premises and Azure environment.

The role requires 10+ years in enterprise infra, strong scripting skills, and a track record mentoring engineers. Hybrid work in Issaquah, WA with strong benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands on enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Experience designing and operating infra in Azure and on-premises.
• Proven ability to codify infra with Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills for engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, standards, and reference designs for the Compute platform.
• Design, build, and operate Azure-based infrastructure and on-premises integration.
• Codify infrastructure as code with Terraform; manage configuration with Ansible.
• Lead hybrid cloud direction and lifecycle management across environments.
• Drive observability, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery across platforms.
• Mentor engineers and lead complex end-to-end infrastructure projects.
