Job summary

Anthropic seeks a Senior Manager in Compute Accounting to own end-to-end accounting for compute and cloud spend, ensuring accurate reporting and robust controls. You will lead ASC 842 analyses, contract review, accruals, prepaids, and close, while steering policy and automation across a growing multi-cloud footprint.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Procurement, and Finance to align accounting with contractual terms, mentor the team, and serve as a key advisor to external auditors

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in cloud services or compute infrastructure.
• Strong technical accounting judgment and GAAP expertise.
• Experience with ASC 842 embedded leases and related topics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end compute and cloud infrastructure cost accounting and monthly close.
• Review contracts for proper accounting treatment and commitment tracking.
• Partner with Engineering, Legal, Procurement, and Finance on contract negotiations.
• Lead policy, controls, and automation for compute spend accounting.
• Mentor team members and liaise with external auditors on compute costs.
