Riverside Research Institute seeks a Senior Computational Scientist/Scientific Programmer to advance computational electromagnetics and physics-based modeling for defense applications. You will lead research, guide multidisciplinary teams, and translate complex customer problems into effective technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience developing physics-based computational models or scientific simulation software.
• Strong foundation in applied mathematics, numerical analysis, computational physics, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in scientific computing and programming in C, C++, or Fortran.
• Ability to frame complex technical problems, evaluate approaches, and deliver results with limited direction.
• Demonstrated technical leadership such as PI or technical lead on significant deliverables.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and mentor staff.
• Ability to travel (less than 10%).

Responsabilités

• Provide technical direction and SME in computational electromagnetics and modeling.
• Develop and improve numerical methods and physics-based models.
• Lead research programs as PI or technical lead and manage objectives.
• Engage with government and defense customers to identify opportunities.
• Contribute to technical proposals, roadmaps, and government plans.
• Contribute to software development, verification, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align with program objectives.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for diverse audiences.
• Mentor junior staff and promote best engineering practices.
