Recursion is seeking a highly skilled computational biologist to join the early discovery team in Salt Lake City or New York. You will integrate large datasets to nominate targets and define precision I&I strategies for advancing therapeutic programs.

Collaborate with biologists, chemists, data scientists and engineers to scale methods for target discovery, validate disease biology, and present data to decision-makers to move programs toward IND.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, or immunology with strong computational focus and 3+ years industry experience.
• Domain expertise in immunological diseases and target ID.
• Experience applying computational methods to analyze complex biological data using Python or R.
• Exceptional data visualization and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate molecular evidence for target nomination and validation using Recursion’s platform.
• Pilot novel methods for target discovery and early patient population hypotheses.
• Define internal criteria for target data packages and early population strategy.
• Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to solve current projects.
• Partner with biologists, chemists, and leads to build data packages for milestones.
• Present data analyses to decision makers to drive investment and progress.
