Job summary

ATSI is contingently seeking a highly experienced Scientist III to support R&D efforts for NSWC Crane. The role emphasizes computational EM modeling, statistical investigations, and advancing simulation methods within a DoD program.

The ideal candidate will have ABET-accredited education, 10+ years in Life or Physical Science, and an active DoD SECRET clearance. Master’s/PhD are preferred. The position is full-time and based at NSWC Crane.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in a Life/Physical Science or engineering field.
• 10+ years of experience in Life or Physical Science.
• Experience with statistical/analytical investigations using mathematical/computer models.
• Experience in computational EM modeling for R&D.
• Active DoD SECRET clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, modify, and perform statistical and analytical investigations using mathematical and computer simulation models.
• Provide R&D support in computational EM modeling.
• Design and execute simulations to analyze system performance and physical phenomena.
• Interpret and validate model outputs, identifying trends and anomalies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support program research objectives.
• Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations in technical reports and briefings.
• Support technical reviews and provide subject matter expertise to government stakeholders.
• Stay current with advancements in computational modeling and EM simulation tools.
