Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Boston (or Indianapolis) seeks a seasoned computational biologist to lead analyses of multimodal omics data and develop methods for target discovery in cardiometabolic diseases. The role spans spatial and single‑cell omics, causal inference, and AI/ML within the Data Science team of CMR.

You will design end‑to‑end analyses, build predictive models, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate findings into actionable drug‑discovery decisions.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in computational biology, biostatistics, biological engineering, systems biology, or a quantitative life science field; training or research experience combining method development with multi-omics
  • 2+ years of post‑doctoral or biopharma/biotech industry experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end‑to‑end analyses of multimodal omics datasets (spatial, single‑cell, proteomic, metabolomic)
  • Develop predictive models to score and rank targets using genetic and functional data
  • Collaborate with discovery, translational, and genetics teams to translate computational results into target decisions
  • Advance analytical platforms and scalable pipelines supporting reproducible, large‑scale analyses
