Codebreaker Labs in Colorado is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead computational analysis of perturbation experiments that link human genetic variation to cellular function. You will design and run Perturb-seq and related scRNA-seq analyses, building scalable pipelines and collaborating with wet-lab and ML teams.

The role combines biology, statistics, and software, with ownership of data interpretation, experimental design, and contributing to predictive models.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, genomics, bioinformatics, systems biology, statistical genetics, biostatistics or a related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Codebreaker's variant Perturb-seq and related single-cell functional genomics experiments, from primary data through perturbation-effect estimation and biological interpretation.
• Build scalable pipelines for QC, guide assignment, differential expression, perturbation-effect estimation, visualization, and model-ready datasets.
• Apply statistical approaches for perturbational single-cell data accounting for experimental design, replication, donor and batch effects, and cell-state heterogeneity.
• Work with datasets to separate biological signal from technical artifacts and generate hypotheses.
• Lead design of Perturb-seq experiments and disease- and cell-type-specific assays with experimental scientists and ML colleagues.
• Integrate single-cell data with human genetics and sequence-based predictions to interpret perturbation effects.
• Write reproducible, tested analysis code for growing experimental scale.
