Job summary

Codebreaker Labs in Boulder, CO seeks a hands-on laboratory scientist to execute genetic screening, cell engineering and phenotyping in challenging human cell models, including primary T cells and iPSC-derived systems. You will join a collaborative team of scientists and contribute to experimental planning, execution and data analysis.

You will work with computational colleagues, apply AI-enabled tools, and document methods with ELN/LIMS, building independent experimental design as you grow.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, including challenging cell models like primary cells or iPSCs.
• Experience with CRISPR-based gene editing or related screening technologies.
• Familiarity with phenotypic characterization techniques such as flow cytometry, sequencing-based assays or functional immune assays.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-throughput functional genomics programs using CRISPR and related perturbation technologies in human cells.
• Culture and execute workflows for demanding human cell systems including primary cells and iPSC-derived models.
• Apply phenotyping approaches, including single-cell RNA-seq and other readouts, flow cytometry and functional assays.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing assays and contribute to their implementation.
• Contribute to experimental planning and data analysis with computation colleagues to ensure properly structured data.
• Perform careful experimental execution, troubleshooting, quality control and documentation.
