Job summary

Airgas, a leading U.S. supplier of industrial gases, seeks a Compressor Maintenance Lead in Dallas, TX.

You will provide technical leadership for multi-stage compressor overhauls, supervise field technicians, and ensure high-quality maintenance on high-pressure systems. Responsibilities include rigorous QA of maintenance logs, regulatory compliance, R&D testing for new tech, and efficient scheduling of tools and part inventories to maximize first-visit efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills to lead diverse teams.
• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical field preferred.
• At least three years hands-on high-pressure compressor maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management software (SAP/Intelex) and diagnostic software for vibration analysis.
• Hands-on experience with CAD and related development tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for on-site compressor maintenance and overhauls.
• Ensure maintenance logs meet Airgas standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Lead R&D testing and validation for new technology in the field.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and best practices for cylinder fills.
• Coordinate tooling, spare parts, and field service logistics for first-visit readiness.
• Support inventory control and overall departmental readiness.
