Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Commerce, CA seeks a Composites Filament Winding Technician 3 to support the Mission Enabling Products organization. The role covers filament winding operations on tanks, setup, resin mixing, winding and curing, and adherence to drawings and test instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with filament winding machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow detailed instructions.
• Knowledge of composite fibers and resins.
• Experience with filament winding tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform filament winding operations on tanks.
• Set up, resin mixing, winding and oven curing per specs.
• Program and troubleshoot filament winding machine/software.
• Provide input on wind pattern improvements to engineers/management.
• Inspect products and rework as required; maintain tools and equipment.
