Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced technician to build and test Component Test hardware for the Lunar Lander program. You will assemble electrical and mechanical subsystems, load software, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies, following engineering drawings and procedures.

You will maintain calibration schedules and support system tests, with emphasis on safety and quality, contributing to flight software qualification and operator training.

Qualifications

• 2 year Associate’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering technology, mechanical or similar discipline.
• 4+ years of industry experience with electrical/electromechanical assemblies.
• Certification in harness assembly, crimping and soldering (IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Order and track parts and materials for Component Test hardware assemblies and maintain a Component Test inventory tracking database.
• Kit materials for Component Test hardware assemblies and organize material transfers between storage, assembly areas and laboratories.
• Assemble Component Test electrical and mechanical systems using engineering drawings.
• Build, test and rework cable assemblies.
• Perform checkout and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies.
• Load software and drivers onto computers and instruments.
• Update Component Test documentation and drawings using CREO/Windchill.
• Support integration of flight avionics, ground support equipment, control consoles, and communication hardware.
