Job summary

Soho Square Solutions in Indiana is seeking a Component Design Engineer (Hybrid) to deliver robust mechanical solutions for engines and subsystems, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing capability and product integrity, working within an IPT under RRMS policies.

The role requires a degree in engineering, solid knowledge of design methodologies, cross-discipline concepts, and experience with model-based definition and lifecycle design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or regional equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and cross-discipline concepts (manufacturing, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, analysis, cost engineering).
• Ability to apply logical, analytical thinking on technical problems and balance technical and business needs.
• Knowledge of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks; Chartered status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design solutions for component(s), assemblies and engines with safety and manufacturability in mind.
• Provide definitions to manufacturing, customers and partners per RRMS policies.
• Create automated workflows and use MBd/house style to optimize design and measurement definitions.
• Support through-life supply chain design and lifecycle profitability.
