Arista Networks is seeking a Component Engineer to collaborate with Design, Supply Chain, and NPI teams to identify and qualify components for Arista products. You’ll drive alternate sourcing strategies and ensure parts meet quality, reliability, and supply requirements for data-center hardware.

You will review datasheets, assess electrical/thermal compatibility, and manage ECO/ECO changes in PLM systems while coordinating with suppliers on roadmaps and compliance standards such as RoHS and

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of experience.
• Experience in sourcing components and mechanical design for data-center hardware.
• Familiarity with RoHS, REACH, and related compliance is a plus.
• Experience with sheet metal part design and tooling guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical and sourcing support to design engineers across components meet performance, pricing, and lifecycle needs.
• Monitor lifecycle issues and identify substitutes for NPI and sustaining products.
• Record risk ratings in Agile on component lifecycle and availability for volume production.
• Review datasheets and assess impact of voltage, timing, and software differences on manufacturability.
• Engage with RoHS/REACH/compliance groups as needed.
• Administer ECO, MCO, and PCN in Agile from initiation to released state.
• Collaborate with suppliers to understand technology roadmaps.
• Create CAD drawings with critical dimensions for sourceable parts.
