Job summary

Arm is seeking a Senior Component Engineer for PCB and board-level electronics to own the component strategy and lifecycle risk management for electronic components used across our hardware products.

You will work at the intersection of Electrical Engineering, Hardware Design, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality and our suppliers. This role requires deep technical knowledge and strong cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in component engineering or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Deep knowledge of board-level components including ICs, PMICs, capacitors, resistors, inductors, discretes and related active/passive components.
• Ability to read schematics, BOMs, datasheets, electrical specs, qualification reports, reliability data, and supplier docs.

Responsibilities

• Own component strategy for board-level electronic component families.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Hardware Engineering on design cycle to influence component selection.
• Lead evaluation, qualification, and alternate-source selection for components.
• Develop dual-source and multi-source strategies for critical components.
• Monitor PCNs, NRND/EOL notices, and manage lifecycle risks to mitigate production impact.
