Job summary

Willis Towers Watson in New York, NY seeks an experienced compliance professional to lead regulatory risk assessment and policy oversight in North America. You will partner with regional and business leaders to translate regulations into practical controls and training.

The role includes overseeing monitoring, investigations, corrective actions, and collaboration with Internal Audit. A hybrid work model and strong compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of compliance, legal, audit, risk management, or regulatory experience.
• Insurance industry experience is desirable but not required if candidate has prior legal, audit, and/or compliance experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels to promote a compliant culture.
• Ability to work individually and in a team under pressure to tight timelines without direct supervision.
• Commercial awareness with a pragmatic approach to managing compliance risks.
• Commitment to continuous development and understanding regulatory developments.
• Must uphold robust compliance culture and high ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess compliance and regulatory risks in the business with internal and external data sources.
• Provide risk-based advice and effective challenge to stakeholders and senior management.
• Train staff and implement policy controls across diverse businesses.
• Review and escalate actual or potential compliance issues and oversee corrective actions.
• Oversee and guide Financial Crime policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Monitoring Team to review results and drive remediation.
• Partner with Internal Audit to identify enterprise risks and corrective actions.
• Foster relationships with Legal, Risk and Internal Audit.
• Support horizon scanning, gap analysis, and process change execution.
• Lead or support regulatory change implementations and compliance program plans.
• Participate in governance committees and compliance forums.
