Job summary

Everyday Electric is hiring a Compliance Operations Manager to own SOC 2 readiness, audit cycles, and uplift initiatives across SOX and ISO 27001. You will partner with engineering, finance, and legal to build repeatable compliance processes and tooling, delivering audits year‑round in a fully remote environment.

You will drive evidence collection, control ownership, and risk escalation while maintaining documentation and program playbooks to scale with the company.

Qualifications

• 5 years+ of experience in compliance operations, IT/security compliance, audit, or a related field.
• Strong background in compliance and privacy, with direct experience supporting SOC 2 audits.
• Working knowledge of SOX and ISO 27001 frameworks, or ability to learn quickly.
• Comfort managing multiple audit and uplift workstreams with strong project management.
• Experience partnering cross‑functionally with engineering, IT, and business teams to collect evidence.
• System comfort with AWS, Jira, GitHub, HubSpot, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Excellent written communication, translating technical/regulatory detail for non-specialists.
• Attention to detail and accountability for accuracy of compliance records.
• Bonuses: startup experience, GRC tooling, GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA familiarity, SOC2/SOX/ISO readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage SOC 2 compliance operations, including readiness, fieldwork, and remediation cycles.
• Coordinate with auditors and stakeholders for timely evidence collection and responses.
• Implement and uplift security compliance tooling from an audit/trust center perspective.
• Track control performance and flag gaps before they become findings.
• Maintain audit documentation, evidence repositories, and control narratives.
