Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day compliance function and governance.
• Oversee regulations including FCA, DISP, and Consumer Duty.

Cameron Kennedy is working on a confidential appointment for an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join a fast- growing, specialist business operating at the intersection of regulated claims management, customer acquisition and legal services. Reporting to the Compliance Director, this is a senior, hands-on leadership opportunity for a compliance professional who can provide credible independent challenge while working constructively with commercial, marketing, operational and technology teams. The role can be based remotely anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel as required.

TheRole

Youwillleadtheday-to-daycompliancefunction,supportingthecontinueddevelopmentoftheregulatoryframeworkandensuringhighstandardsofcustomeroutcomes,governanceandcontrol.Keyareaswillinclude:

• RegulatoryComplianceandGovernance:OversightofFCA-regulatedclaims-managementactivityandthewiderregulatoryperimeter.
• AdvertisingandCustomerAcquisition:Owningandoperatingthecomplianceapprovalframeworkandapprovalandmonitoringofadvertising,financialpromotions,lead-generationactivityandcustomerjourneys.
• ComplianceMonitoringandQualityAssurance:Compliancemonitoring,riskassessments,policies,regulatorychangeandmanagementinformation.
• ConsumerDutyandCustomerOutcomes:ConsumerDuty,complaints,incidents,remediationandroot-causeanalysis.
• Advisory,RiskandEscalation:Providingclear,commerciallygroundedadviceandescalatingmaterialregulatoryorcustomer-outcomerisksappropriately.
• LeadershipandStakeholderManagement:Managingasmallteamandstakeholders
• Leadinganddevelopingcompliancemonitoringandquality-assurancecapabilityincludingMaintainarisk-basedcompliancemonitoringprogrammeaddressingthecompany’sprincipalregulatoryandcustomer-outcomerisks.
• Complaints,IncidentsandRemediation:ConductcomplaintshandlingandensurecompliancewithDISP,applicableFinancialOmbudsmanServicerequirementsandinternalservicestandards.
• RegulatoryChange,PoliciesandTraining:includingconductinghorizonscanningacrossFCA,ASA,governmentandrelevantindustrydevelopmentsandassessingtheoperationalandcommercialeffectofregulatorychangeandmaintainaneffectiveregulatorychangeprogramme.

ThePerson

Direct senior compliance experience gained within an FCA-regulated claims management company or marketing and client acquisition agency for law firms is essential — applications from broader financial-services compliance backgrounds without this specific experience will not be suitable and will not be considered.Youwillbring:

• Astrong,currentworkingknowledgeoftheFCAregulatoryframeworkapplicabletoclaimsmanagement,includingCMCOB,ConsumerDuty,SYSC,DISP,SM&CRandregulatoryreporting/engagement.
• Provenexpertiseincompliantcustomeracquisition,advertisingandfinancialpromotions,includingdigitalchannels,leadgenerationandlive-campaignoversight.
• SomeknowledgeofUKGDPR,PECRanddata-sharing/direct-marketingrequirements.
• Experienceworkingcloselywithclaimantlawfirmsandanunderstandingofthelegal-servicesandreferralenvironment.
• Ademonstrableabilitytoinfluenceseniorstakeholders,challengeconstructivelyandstoporremediateactivitywherestandardsarenotmet.
• Ahands-on,organisedanddelivery-focusedapproach,withsoundjudgement,discretionandstrongwrittencommunication.

Experienceinhigh-volumeconsumerclaims,regulatedfinancial-servicesclaims,personalinjury,litigationfundingorrelatedclaimant-acquisitionmodelswouldbeparticularlyvaluable.PreviousSMF16orequivalentseniorcomplianceresponsibilityisdesirable,butnotessential.
