Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a Tokio Marine Group member, seeks an AVP of Compliance to lead regulatory programs across states, lines of business, and underwriting guidelines. You will supervise rates, forms, filings, training, and internal controls, partnering with Legal and Field teams to ensure adherence to insurance laws and company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 15+ years’ experience in a similar role for a commercial insurance carrier.
• Management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicates with management on issues and provides leadership to Field Underwriting, Claims and Customer Service staff as needed.
• Monitors development, maintenance and submission of rates, rules, forms and programs to ensure compliance with laws and company goals.
• Oversees auto liability reporting system, state filings, policy notices, and underwriting audits for regulatory compliance.
• Reviews training programs to assist field underwriting in compliant use of programs, coverages and rates.
• Reviews and revises policies and procedures to ensure compliance with insurance laws and regulations.
• Ensures proper internal controls for job functions and administrative activities.
• Improves systems and processes to enhance decision making, data quality, efficiency and compliance.
• Serves as a liaison to Legal addressing Department of Insurance compliance and regulatory processes.
• Leads remediation projects and long-term planning initiatives for operational excellence.
